The peace & tranquillity of the surrounding countryside is intoxicating. This peninsular is steeped in Celtic history with many prehistoric sites , delightful sandy beaches and footpaths just waiting to be explored .
We provide information on the many things to do and see whilst you are staying with us , here are some of them:-
Stroll down to our local pub ‘The Lamorna Wink’ (lunchtime) food only , then carry on to see Lamorna Cove opening out in front of you , stunning & dramatic in any weather, attracting many artists both past & present.
Leave the farm in the other direction to walk 11/2 miles through delightful countryside to the lovely harbour village of Mousehole or walk via the coast path.

Thanks to our unique climate , many of the lovliest gardens of the UK are situated in West Cornwall, large & famous such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan , The Eden Project & the fabulous Tresco Abbey gardens on the Scilly Isles a boat or helicopter trip away.
Smaller & closer , the tropical Trewidden , Trebah & Trengwainton gardens.
St Michaels Mount – the jewel in the crown of Mounts Bay is one of many NT properties .

For art we have the Tate at St Ives, Penlee House in Penzance with their wonderful collection of Newlyn School paintings and Newlyn Gallery, mostly modern. Lots of private galleries selling a variety of art & craft , much of it very good indeed.

For attractions we are spoilt for choice , the National Maritime Museum Falmouth , the excellent Geevor Mine Museum at Pendeen , Goonhilly Earth Station – well worth a visit, The Lizard for unrivalled natural beauty – while you’re there try one of Roskilly’s
Organic ice creams! Paradise Park for birds especially parrots and owls , the National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek , The Minack Theatre on the cliffs at Portcurno – a production seen here on a summer evening will never be forgotten.
Then there is rugged Lands End ( if only to say you’ve been there! ) and Cape Cornwall which is nearly as far west and not commercial at all !

Close by are three golf courses, sea & course fishing, boats trips to watch the dolphins, horse riding and facilities for more extreme activities like diving and rock climbing.
Walking on the SW Coastal path is a must !
