What to do?

Castallack, a tiny hamlet, secluded yet easily accessible, four miles from Newlyn one of the busiest fishing ports in England, five miles from the cosmopolitan market town of Penzance and nine miles from St Ives.

Stroll to Lamorna Cove & enjoy a cream tea overlooking the  small beach & ocean or walk in the opposite direction to Mousehole a quaint seaside village with a very safe harbour beach and two very good restaurants together with cafes & a pub overlooking the small harbour.

Take a catamaran out into Mounts Bay with Marine Discovery & search for Dolphins, Whales & Sea birds with Duncan & Hannah – it’s a great way to see the coastline with a good chance of bird & marine sightings.

West Cornwall is the ideal holiday choice, something for everyone.

There is so much to see & do in the far west of Cornwall.  Beaches, coves, harbours, moorland, & some of the loveliest gardens in the country. Trengwainton, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, Godolphin, Glendurgan, Trelissick, Lost Gardens of Heligan and of course the iconic Eden Project, the eighth wonder of the world.

Plus, to many, the jewels in the crown  the magnificent South West Coastal Path & the iconic St Michael’s Mount.

National cycle route 3 passes by our front gate & a bridleway, which you should enjoy runs through our land.

So Walk, cycle, swim, sunbathe, explore, sail, kayak, relax, visit museums or fun parks for the kids. Sea safari’s, golf or fishing.

Take in a performance at the cliff-top Minack Theatre, go diving or rock climbing the possibilities are endless.

Then there are the galleries where artists who have come here because of our clear & vibrant light showcase their works of art together with potters & sculptors, think Barbara Hepworth and Tate St Ives in St Ives plus The Exchange In Penzance and Newlyn Art Gallery.

There are agricultural shows large & small plus festivals such as Golowan in Penzance & Lafrowda in St Just.

There are also music festivals such as those in St Ives & Prussia Cove.
